Kelley McNey

Kelley has worked in the real estate and construction industry for 14 years and also brings 16 years of management experience from the retail, restaurant and golf industries. A 2014 graduate of Leadership Anne Arundel, she has a great passion for honesty, responsibility and kindness to everyone. Kelley takes great pleasure in enjoying life and is dedicated to bringing that feeling to every client.

Steve McNey

Kelley and Steve McNey

Steve has more than 30 years of experience in the construction industry. He began his journey while he was a senior in high school and has since committed his life to creating one of the region’s most successful family-owned contracting businesses. Steve’s passion, honesty, complete involvement and brilliant mindset are a few of the great qualities that Kelley says make their business relationship equally as fun and enjoyable as their personal relationship.

Allison Hughes

Allison

Allison, a recent graduate from University of Maryland University College, earned her Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Management. She has previously worked in supervisory positions in retail and is also a strong believer in giving back to the community through volunteering with Habitat for Humanity and feeding the hungry with her church group. The combination of her education and experience makes her an asset to the McNey Contracting Inc. team as our Office Manager.

Our Custom Design Process

Step One

  • Meet with the client to gather and analyze all necessary information to create custom home or building
  • Select site or visit existing site

Step Two

–Explore & Brainstorm the design process. Begin rough sketches which include:

  • General size & layout
  • Floor plan & elevation
  • Structural, framing and mechanical systems
  • Explore ideas on feature elements of the home (cabinets, fire place, built-ins)

Step Three

–Create working drawings – referred to as:

  • Building & floor plans
  • Blue prints

Step Four

  • Price & Finalize the plans
  • Obtain proper permit
  • Begin Construction
