Who We Are

McNey Contracting is a full-service general contractor located in Severna Park, MD. We have more than 30 years of experience in developing land and designing, building, remodeling and maintaining residential and commercial properties.

Our story began in Maryland’s Montgomery County, where we had the pleasure of building many custom homes, including two sub-divisions. We moved to our current location to build upon our established foundation of quality, distinction and excellence.

We truly believe that the blueprint for our success has been our unwavering dedication to outstanding customer service and our passion to exceed client expectations.

Our Mission

We provide each client with the greatest, stress-free experience through our ability to listen, communicate efficiently and keep to budgets and schedules.

Our clients value both our honesty regarding the reality of their budget and how we stay within that limit. We are also upfront about the length of time a project will truly take to complete, and we are on the job each and every day until the work is finished to their expectations. In addition, our extensive experience allows us to see a potential problem before it actually becomes an issue, further keeping projects within budget and on schedule.

Our Custom Design Process

Step One

Meet with the client to gather and analyze all necessary information to create a custom home or building. Clients can use their own architect or ours.
Select a site or visit the existing site.

Step Two

Explore and brainstorm the design process. Begin the rough sketches, which include:

General size and layout;
Floor plan and elevation;
Structural systems as well as framing and mechanical systems; and
Explore ideas on feature elements of the home, such as cabinets, fireplaces and built-ins.

Step Three

– Create working drawings, which are referred to as building and floor plans or blueprints.

Step Four

Price and finalize the plans.
Obtain proper permits.
Begin construction.
